First of all a huge thank you for cheering me up with your likes, comments, & phone calls!
While there is a process to make a painting, I believe it is not so much about the paints, the paper, and the brushes you use, but it is about the moods, the feelings, the impressions you carry in your heart. The impressions of the world around you. The stories, the skies that fill your soul. The tears that break you down, and the moments that light you up. You can only bring to the paper, what you carry within. So the idea is slow down, smell the roses, have more experiences, make new friends, travel more, basically live a little more, everyday!
On another beautiful note, I must share I have made a new friend here, near where I live in Gurgaon. She is about 80 years old, and I’m grateful to her for she travelled to visit my studio all alone by herself, just because she wanted to. And this is what she wrote in my visitors book:
“Tumhari har ek kalakriti ek sundar kahaani hai, jise tumne apne rangon se savaara hai”
She is an artist herself, and it was a blessing to have her visit my studio, she kissed me on the forehead (and after that several times on my hands and cheeks) and I can’t tell you how much that means to me! She has gone abroad to visit her daughter, and I’m eagerly waiting to hear her travel stories!
And now, the #4/100 artwork.
