I’m Ana, I’m glad to see you here. This is my place where I come to cherish life a little more.
Being an artist is just one aspect of me. I’m also a Design Professional, Writer, Sivananda Yoga Teacher, & a humble Happiness Developer.
I live with my loving husband and super son in Gurgaon, India. These two people inspire me to become everything that I don’t know I am, simply put; they bring out the ‘creative’ best in me!
I worked as a creative professional in advertising for 12 long years, but real life began for me when I quit it. For the first time in my life, I had time. Time to feel the energy that flows in the universe; the energy that you are made of, I am made of.
‘The position of the artist is humble. He is essentially a channel.’ ~ Piet Mondrian
My creative process begins by centering myself. By creating a still in my environment, I let my intuition guide me, and then I allow the grace of existence to flow through me. The choice of medium varies from watercolor to mixed media depending on whether I’m feeling fluid or more experimental in terms of texture and form. My works represent my thoughts and energy at the moment I created them. My process is spontaneous yet guided by my subconscious. The works are open to interpretation by the viewer according to their life experiences, memories, and how they relate to them.
I am also known as Vandana Jain. Being Ana is a process of unbecoming, of peeling layers and layers of what I am not. It is purifying and absolutely liberating. It is an inward odyssey of coming home.
My intent is to give back everything I receive from nature, and put the energies back into the rhythm of the universe.
Besides creating art, happiness and joy for you here, I’m working on a collection of short stories.
I’d love to know what your theories in life are, and what inspires you. Do comment! There will be a lot of LINK LOVE here! So if you are an artist, photographer, or a creator of pretty things, feel free to send me an Email at Ana.prettypinkpebbles(at)gmail(dot)com with the link to your work, I’d love to see, and perhaps share your work here!
